Wedding Picture

We are finally back on-line... yeah!! I only have time for one picture right now... more to come. Here is Wendi and the girls. Jayden did not feel very well the day of the wedding and did not take very good pictures. However, I don't know if that would have changed if she did feel good!

Happy Birthday Miya

How quickly time passes us by. Our little baby has turned 3. It doesn't seem like it's been three years since we were in the hospital with her; I can still remember it like it was yesterday. Sometimes I'd enjoy going back to those days when I could hold her in my arms and cuddle her for hours on end. But, I know that isn't possible nor would I want to stay there for long because then little trouble maker (Jades) wouldn't be around either. Miya is no longer a toddler, but a little girl. Her legs continue to grow long, her tummy continues to grow slimmer, her hair continues to grow longer, and more importantly, her heart continues to grow in love. As she grows and I see her interact with others I can see what a big heart she has. She loves to be around people (it takes her a while to warm up though), especially babies. She is very nurturing, even with her pretend babies. I know that some day, if it's the Lord's will, she will grow up to be a very a good mommy. I'm not anywhere ready for that, I already tear up at the thought of her going to school (which won't be for another 2-3 years). We have been blessed to be able to raise Miya these past three years and pray there will be many more to come. Happy 3rd Birthday little Miss Miya.

Pictures

I tried to get a picture of the girls yesterday morning before we went out for the day. As you can see, they still are not friends of the camera.

Finally... It's Up

This play set has been a little bit of an issue at the Westra household the past month or two. We found a play set (on sale) we really liked at Meijers only they were sold out. So we got the raincheck and called on it EVERY single day. A couple of weeks later all the play sets went on sale again, so we decided to get the next step up because we were sick of waiting. When Jeff went to go buy it, it was sold out. Once again we got a raincheck and called EVERY single day for both play sets. After a month (or longer), Jeff had had enough and went to another store and bought a play set because they had it on hand. He has diligently been putting it together in pieces around 11:00 at night until the wee hours of the morning. It is now complete and the girls LOVE it. They couldn't even wait for Jeff to attach the slide as you'll see in the video. They patiently waited on the steps while he finished drilling.

Yesterday it was raining. Here is Miya's reply to me telling her she couldn't play outside because it was raining, "It's okay, I'll put on my rain coat and boots, the rain won't get me mommy. Jades can't play outside though cause she don't have a raincoat right mommy!" (Always thinking about her sister). Thank you Jeff for adding this fun toy to our outdoors. I think I enjoy it more then the girls :)

Playing Continued...

A moment of sharing and playing nice together.

Riding in the bike cart, once again playing nice! (Jayden picking her ears AGAIN!!!)

Miya relaxing in the grass.

Jayden doing her favorite thing (for the moment), eating sidewalk chalk!

Playing

Here are some videos of the girls playing together last week. You'll notice that in the first video they are playing as nice as can be, and at the end of the other video there is someone who take away a toy. That is how things have been around here lately. The girls seem to be developing a love/hate relationship. The word hate is too strong, but I think you understand the concept. They are either the best of friends or they are fighting with eachother. They typically don't play alone if they are both awake so I get to see the two different relationships often :)

Charlie seems to have captured one of Miya's flip-flops...which was later found.
