Day Two

Dads turn again. Another great day! Day two of the honeymoon according to the nurses. They compare it to a honeymoon because when people get married, they take a trip, and the complications of life seem to go away for a while...but then they get home :) Back to work. They say shes not quite sure of her surroundings yet, which means they have successfully sort of tricked her into believing shes in mommy's tummy yet. Anyway, there are a lot of stories. Miya and Jayden came to the hospital today. Interesting to say the least in our confined room :) They did great though. Took them all down to the waiting room in the neonatal (sp??) area, so they got to play a while. But what everyone is probably thinking about is number 3.

CAMBRIE JADE KRIKKE...This 1st picture is for you...We finally have a picture of your baby cousin in her tiny bed!!!
Melanie is doing great! She got called a show off today because she is doing so well. Nurses are very impressed. I got to weigh her again tonite. She weighed 2 lbs 2 oz again which was good. A new nurse wanted me to reweigh her because she couldnt believe she weighed that much at 26 weeks. Again, I have to say, the nurses with Melanie are AWESOME! They absolutely love what they do....a very key part of their jobs due to the emotional roller coaster rides they have quite frequently. I got my first birthday card from my baby (Melanie) today. The nurses made a card for me and put her little handprints and footprints on it. Absolutely adorable...gotta be the best card Ive ever recieved. Ill try to post it tomorrow. In return, I attmepted to marry my little girl tonite. I dont know if you can tell, but we put my wedding ring on her arm. The nurses recommeded that we do that here and there to prove to ourselves that she is growing. I loved the idea, so we will probably have one of those a week or so.
Other than that, there hasnt been a lot thats changed. We'll do for sure one of these a day...maybe more. When Nicki comes home, Im thinking we'll have more time at the hospital to do this since we wont have a room to go back to...just the family room in the neonatal area which will be a great place to do some posts.

Personally...I have to tell everyone one thing. Nicki probably hasn't seen it as much as I have, because I have a phone that collects emails, facebook messages, and text messages. I want to tell everyone who is reading this that we are seeing and feeling all of your support. My phone is constantly vibrating with facebook and text messages. I havent responded to a majority of the messages about prayer that we've recieved. God would have to change our days to 30 hour days to get just that accomplished. Also, the visitors and the comments posted on this site are tremendous. We are truly blessed with people who genuinly care about us. We are so thankful for all the support...AND THIS IS JUST DAY 2!!! We are forever greatful for all the support we've recieved. God has placed all of you in our lives, and we will never be able to pay back the love we've recieved in the last couple days. We love you all! We'll talk again tomorrow :)
